What is fitness?

According to your own women fitness needs and desires you can tailor an exercise program with an expert and talk with your doctor about any specific concerns, for example, if you have any chronic health problem or if you simply want to get started or want to add changes to your actual program.

If you’re standing on your 20s, still studying and managing time for hundreds of activities, consider you’re working for the future in terms of strenght for your muscles, body density, and your overall cardiovascular health. Exercise as much as possible, and you'll set the bases for the next years!!

If you’re trekking on your 30s, then your activities might have changed. You may have now family responsabilities and your job is different. Are you becoming more sedentary?

If you considered pregnancy around this age, your body passes through a very tough adaptational process that certainly calls your attention for fitness subjects.

Then, when coming into your 40s, not only your metabolism starts a slow down and your body mass may experience significant changes, also your bone tissue and muscle mass change.

In order to stay fit and healthy on this stage consider low impact activities instead of high impact ones to avoid injuries and contemplate to:

1) Increase strenght of bones, muscles and connective tissue with exercise, adequate nutrition and supplementation.

2) Increase muscle mass, so that you burn more calories (even at rest), helping you to control your weight.

3) Enhance quality of life, improving your strength and overall energy by continuing to exercise and keep on to a good nutritional regimen.

If Menopause has arrived close to your 50s, you will experience different symptoms and conditions, some of them will probably add weight changes, higher colesterol, higher blood pressure, stress, insomnia, less bone mass, etc. Many activities can help you to handle this symptoms.

If your flexibility drops by this age, stretching will be important and don’t forget some cardiovascular training. Be creative and find fun potential activities like dancing, walking aroung (some exteriors are wonderful), etc.

Enhance your muscles and joints strenght following specific exercises and gain some help for posture, power and balance.

There are studies that document that if you exercise in your 60s, you will live longer than those who don’t. Here are some postmenopausal tips.

Continue helping your body with cardiovascular activities, emphasize on strenght and increase stability. Be careful, keep your choices but always with the advice and permission of your doctor.
