Tuna Mole Tostada
This recipe I might say, it's an original, I was wondering what to cook for today and I found all 4 ingredients at hand. (Of course if you don't live in Mexico, Mole might be difficult to find, but try the International Section of the supermarket).
By the way, I must say, it took me about 3 minutes and done!!!!
First it is important to explain what Mole is, for those who don't know. Mole is a special mexican sauce that comes from the viceroyalty era. MOLE IN WIKIPEDIA
There's a legend about it. On one occasion Juan de Palafox, viceroy of New Spain and Archbishop of Puebla, visited his diocese, one convent offered him a banquet.
The head chef Fray Pascual, was particularly nervous and began to reprimand his staff, given the disorder that prevailed in the kitchen.
The same Fray Pascual began to pile on a tray to keep all the ingredients in the pantry and in his haste was to stumble right in front of the pan where succulent turkeys were almost ready.
He ended up different peppers, chocolate chips and the most varied species "spoiling" food to be offered to the Viceroy. Because to his surprise, he loved it!!!
Cooking Mole is not easy, it needs slow cooking and a good amount of love. Today, there are more than 62 varieties of Mole just in the region of Oaxaca, but the Poblano Mole remains one of the most popular and fortunately, we can find it already made in a commercial way and with fine quality.
POBLANO MOLE is made with: Water, plantain, onion, ancho pepper, pasilla pepper, mulato pepper, chocolate, soybean oil, raisins, sesame seed, salt and spices.
For this recipe I had a "tetra pack" presentation. Sorry, I'm practical.
INGREDIENTS:
200 grs of tuna fish (preferably in water or vacuum packed).
6 spoons of Poblano Mole.
1 small can of yellow corn.
4 Tostadas (I like the ones that are cooked in the oven and not fried).
PROCESS:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
Spread the mix on each tostada.
Serve.
That's it friends, no science and very original and delicious low fat recipe!!!
