Protein and amino acids supplements, reasons, safety and recommendations
Today taking protein and amino acids supplements seems something popular. But why do people choose to take this products? I can only think of 2 reasons: 1) For building muscle or 2) To speed up the process of weight loss. There are some myths about this type of supplementation as well: Myth 1: They might cure herpes virus infections. Myth 2: They induce restful sleep. Myth 3: They might relieve pain or depression. These type of supplements really do anything like this? Keep on reading to find out.

Are they safe?
The use of certain amino acids has spread. Some of this are: + Lysine. + Branch chain: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. + Tryptophan. Lysine + Lysine doesn't cure herpes infections, as far as research has gone, whether it is safe or useful against herpes is not yet proven. Branch chain amino acids: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine + This type of products are popular amongst people who work out and think they're feeding their muscles with extra energy, but as with Lysine, no research has sustained such thing. Tryptophan + Alot of publicity says it relieves from pain, depression and helps to sleep. + Research shows that a lack of Tryptophan flowing into the brain may produce signs of wakefulness, a depressed mood, a tendency to startle and a higher sensitivity to pain. + Taking Tryptophan by itself may not help efficiently if the organism has a lack of serotonin, total protein and carbohydrates. + Sometimes manufactured products are lack of quality. There have been proofs of blood disorders by people taking manufactured Tryptophan supplements.
Recommendations
Our bodies are so perfect, they handle whole proteins and not just single amino acids, so taking a product of a single molecule might raise its volumes high in the body which may tie up a carrier and prevent absorption of other similar molecules; as a result, a deficiency of that particular molecule happens. The body is not used to the unbalanced arrays of highly concentrated amino acids found in supplements and it doesn't have the tools for getting rid of the excess. If you use this type of products in replacement for foods, be careful, sometimes the quality of the protein, may not be an adequate one. Many products may produce harm to the users because they're not well tested, sometimes the amounts are too high or the molecules are taken from poor quality sources. Be aware also that there's no current Daily Recommended Intake (DRI) for this type of supplements yet, and the lack of studies turns this into a hard work for the specific Committee. So, until research is available, there are no safe limits established. Do you have an altered metabolism? Are you growing? Are you pregnant or lactating? Are you an elder person? Do you have problems with amino acids handling? Are you a smoker? Are you in a low protein diet? Do you have an acute or chronic mental problem or a physical illness? Avoid taking this products in order to keep away from harm.
