I'd like you to see how easy is to combine foods to create a healthy experience in a very short time and I'll give you some tips during the journey.
Salmon with lemon juice and olives
One of the favourite healthy recipes of my husband, he always loves me when I cook it for him, =) and one that has given me great points in dinners with friends. Of course, I shall give credit to my friend Guadalupe Santillan who taught me this recipe. INGREDIENTS: + Salmon (1 Kg or 2.3 pounds) without skin. Prefer fresh one and packed in pouches so that you avoid that "supermarket rusty variety maybe full of mercury". + 5-6 lemons. I like green ones, in the US they sell yellow ones, less bitter, but it might change the flavour a little, try the varieties without seeds. + 1 pouch of olives (100 grs drained mass). Choose the green ones which are more tasty than black ones. + The brine of the olives. + Pepper. WHAT YOU NEED FOR COOKING THIS RECIPE: + Aluminium foil. + A lemon squeezer. + A knife and a table for cutting. + A glass. + A small oven (pre-heat at 400°F or about 250°C). TIME NEEDED FOR COOKING THIS DISH: 15 minutes. There you go, if you're in a rush, this recipe will save your life! PREPARATION: (Number of portions: 4) + You must have ready 4 salmon steaks free of the skin. + Chop into very small pieces the olives. + Wash and cut the lemons and squeeze them. Use the glass to collect the juice. + Use the aluminium foil (the brilliant side must be to the outside) to place a salmon steak. + Spread some of the chopped olives through the salmon steak, add lemon juice and brine and some pepper. + Close the aluminium foil leaving a small space for air inside. + Place in the oven at 250°C (400°F) for 10 minutes. And tell me if you agree this was simply outstanding!!! The salmon recipe accounts for the healthy recipes of this section, because salmon fish is the highest source of omega 3 essential fatty acids, the olives give essential fatty acids too (omega 9), the lemon juice will contribute with vitamin C and gives the dish a special taste. And is easy to eat as well for people who have trouble with biting.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids. Their job against inflammation and pro-health.
Mediterranean salad with fruits

Salad lovers!!! Is true salads are healthy and is obvious why. They may include many colors from different antioxidants and nutrients. This one is no exception. INGREDIENTS: + Fresh Curly lettuce. + 6 endive leaves. + 2 large grapefruits (the Ruby Red variety has a great taste). + 3 oranges and I would pick Veracruz variety (as I'm in Mexico an it has a sweet taste, but try any sweet orange you can find in wherever you live). + 2 spoons of fresh mint leaves (I usually have some at my backyard garden. + 1/4 spoon of black olives. To cut them in 4 pieces (vertically). + 1 small spoon of Walnut oil or olive oil. + Pepper. WHAT YOU NEED FOR COOKING THIS RECIPE: Just a bowl for the salad, a spoon and a table for cutting the fruit. TIME NEEDED FOR COOKING THIS RECIPE: 10 minutes. PREPARATION: (Number of portions: 6) + Wash, peel and segment the grapefruits and oranges. Place them all in a bowl. Collect the juice. + Combine all the ingredients, add juice and pepper. Toss gently. Healthy isn't it? And delicious!!! Expect new healthy recipes and tips in a short time.
