Eat, enjoy and don't gain weight

Maybe you'd like to print this page! Here are some tips to help you eat, enjoy and stay slim.
1) Food is great, eat varied foods, but never too much. Let your own brain (not your stomach), to tell you when you're satisfied.
2) Don't call them good or bad foods, not even forbidden foods, you can have what suits your taste, just check the amount, the variety and the combination (there are better combinations than others and that may help you to lower the effect of some foods which lets say, have less properties).
3) You don't need to go daily to the scale, but you do need to become aware of the weight you want to have and that makes you feel good.

5) Drink at least 1.5-2 Lts. of water and/or other low calories drinks or high nutrient drinks (like natural fruit or vegetable juices or teas).
6) It's best to make many meals during the day than only 3 huge ones.
7) Start your day with a balanced breakfast to fill your depot of energy after the night.
8) Choose healthy methods for cooking like: cooking, grilling, boiling, in foil, steamer, and use frying very little, and with small amount of fat, etc.
9) Don't be scared of eating fruits or vegetables, you're not going to turn "green" or become a "ruminant", find ways to cook them and dress them. Also try new things, how can you get to know what you like if you don't try it?
10) Try to eat 3-5 fruits / day, is not hard, what about one on each meal?
11) Potatoes, rice, pasta and cereals are foods rich in carbohydrates, try to choose the whole varieties and again, don't abuse the amounts. If combined with a legume, the glycemic index might be controlled and insulin does not raise too much.
12) If you cook potatoes, prefer boiling and not using fat.
13) Milk and milk products like cheese contain proteins and calcium, but prefer the low fat types and consume creams with moderation. White cheeses and fresh are preferred over the yellow and vintage.
14) In the case of meat and fish, choose the types and the way to cook them without adding fat or try to eliminate evidences of it. Avoid breaded and fried meats.
15) If you like egg, no problem, but try to take them maximum twice per week.
16) Use fats and oils in very small amounts. Eliminate the visible fat of milk, cheese, broths, or prefer the low fat varieties.
17) Do you like salt?, Use it but don't abuse it. You may condiment as well with herbs and spices.
18) Sweets are good, but better choose low fat and low sugar types, like yoghurt or gelatin. If you want to sweet your foods, prefer natural honey or fruit (like raisins).
And, last, but not the less important... Enjoy life!!!!
